Interview Summary
In this interview filmed in a dark studio with atmospheric lighting, Janine tells the story of her life, from her childhood in Lwów (now Lviv) in eastern Poland. She covers living in the Lwów ghetto and the fate of her family. She tells of her experiences as a hidden child, working as a maid, and eventually reconnecting with surviving family members and settling in Paris, and then in England. Janine reflects on themes such as antisemitism, stereotyping and the fate of her family members.
