Interview Summary
Interview with Hans Jackson who was born in Berlin in 1920 and emigrated to Britain in 1939 as a Refugee from Nazism. He describes his early life in Germany; his emigration to England and his time in Kitchener Camp; his internment on the Isle of Man; his service in the Pioneer Corps; his experience on board the SS Dunera and internment in Australia; his move to Glasgow after the war and his work as a carpenter; starting to paint in the 1970s and his work with the Imperial War Museum and Bet Shalom.
